South Jax looking for help with promo video

The project began this past fall. A script has been written and the production company is ready to start editing, but according to Mayor Gordon Jumper, they need more pictures of village events.
“What we really want are candid photos: parade photos, people doing things at the [Centennial] Celebration, people involved in the fire department activities,” he says.
Jumper says economic development in South Jacksonville is leading to increased visibility.
“Many, many prospects review much about the community before they ever come,” says Jumper. “We’re going to make it available to prospects to look at on the Internet, as well as make it available to those who might contact the village about locating within the community.”
Submissions can be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Put “SOUTH JAX VIDEO” as the email subject line. All files will be reviewed but not all submissions will be included in the video. Larger, higher-resolution files are preferred.
Jumper says to make sure the photographer gets credit when you submit pictures or videos as they will be acknowledged in the credits.
The due date is Thursday.
Of course, you can check out photo albums of South Jacksonville events like the Concert in the Cornfield to the Prairieland Heritage Steam Show on our Facebook page.
