The funeral will be held at Central Christian Church on the southeast corner of College and Church at 10:30 tomorrow morning.

Jerry Symons died at the age of 70 early Monday morning of this week. He was an active community leader, and a driving force in the success of WLDS-WEAI for over 50 years.

John Buchanan of Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home and Crematory says he has received permission from the city of Jacksonville to close off West College from Church to Dunlap from 9 to 11:30 tomorrow morning for the funeral.

Only one way traffic will be allowed during that period for the funeral through the one block area.

In addition, Butler Supply Company has agreed to allow parking in the east half of their lot, and parking will be allowed in the Jacksonville High School Bowl.

Parking will also be accessible behind the Central Christian Church and the Masonic Temple. The lots will be accessible off South Church.

Visitation begins at 1 this afternoon at Buchanan and Cody. The family will meet friends from 4 to 7 tonight. A large crowd is anticipated.
